be a citizen of one of the EELI recognized countries
and enter the U.S. on a non-emigrant visa.
be accepted into any institution of the State University System of Florida or community college
and maintain full-time enrollment - 12 undergraduate (1000 level or above) or 9 graduate (5000 level or above) credit hours per semester.
must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher when submitting the application
and maintain the institutional and GPA of 3.0 or higher thereafter.
must return to his or her home country within 3 years after completing the degree
for a period of time equal to the period of the exemption award.
must taken classes only when living in Florida. Distributed learning is not supported by EELI.
must send EELI a fee invoice or schedule within ten days after the beginning of
each semester and documentation of GPA within ten days after the end of each semester.
